- seeing her in her natural form - sweaty, tired etc. nothing false, all real
- putting her hat on, pulling up her trousers showing her going from a girl to a fencer - still the same person
- shots of her fencing from far away (slightly behind a pillar) - enhances that it is real
- slow motion
- when she is fencing in the darkened room there is always enough light on her that we can clearly see what she is doing - obviously staged however looks completely natural
- pan up from feat to head when she is running, camera travelling at the same speed as her
